PDO Threadlift Treatment
This non-surgical, mini facelift, also known as a thread lift, is effective for people with moderate sagging of the face, jawline and neck. The insertion of PDO threads to gently tighten the face and lift the cheek and jowls, creates an immediate visible and natural lifting effect without the appearance and recovery downtime of a full surgical facelift.
Which areas are treatable using PDO threads?
- Double chin
- Upper and Lower Cheeks
- Forehead (Brow Lifting)
- Frown lines
- Nasolabial Folds
- Marionette Lines
What does the threadlift procedure entail?
The threadlift treatment takes place under local anaesthetic and involves small incisions being made which the thread is passed through. Once the skin is under tension, the skin is then stitched to achieve a lifted and firmer appearance.
The procedure takes around 45-60 minutes depending on what treatment the patient requires. The patient can fully resume their everyday routine and social commitments within a couple of days.
PDO Threadlift Therapy is a tailor-made treatment which can be adjusted to the patient’s requirements at any time.
How soon are the effects visible?
It is common for an improvement to be noted immediately following treatment. The full effects can be noted over a period of 2-6 months as new collagen grows between the threads and continues to give a further lift and tightening to the skin. The PDO threads gradually dissolve over 6 months, however studies have noted that effects can be seen for 2-3 years.
